What age is a kids teepee designed for?
Our teepee is recommended for ages 3–8. Many families use it with a younger sibling playing alongside an older child, but children under 3 should always be closely supervised by an adult.
Safety tips with younger children
- Lights: fairy lights, cords and battery packs are not toys. With toddlers around, leave the lights off or keep them high and out of reach, and never leave them on unattended.
- Small parts: keep the bunting ties and any small decorations away from very young children.
- Stability: make sure the top stabiliser is fully locked and set the tent on a non-slip rug.
- No climbing: teach little ones that the poles aren’t for climbing or pulling.
- Supervision: stay nearby, especially at nap time.
Making it toddler-friendly
Keep the inside simple: the soft round mat, a cushion, board books and a favourite soft toy. A teepee can be a calm spot for quiet play as your child grows into it.
